It’s been a busy day at The Story Cellar, and it seems like people saw the message about this week’s changed opening hours, so I seem to be putting them in the right place!
Lots of new titles on the shelves this week – and for next week four generous donations from the lovely crime-fan who stopped by and who, like I used to, shares book with her father. And shout out to the woman who made me realise that I do have the entire Harry Potter series now, for some reason I had it stuck in my head that The Half-Blood Prince was missing. So if you’re looking for Harry Potter, swing by next opening day.

New on the shelves this week: the latest from Dan Brown The Secret of Secrets. Clown Town by Mick Herron. Call the Midwife by Jennifer Worth (fans of the show will recognise so many stories). John Grisham’s The Firm (my old copy, I finally found a new one without a Mitch McDeere who looks like my ex-boyfriend on the cover). The Leopard by Guiseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa.
Sold today: Triptych by Karin Slaughter. Tower of Fools by Andrzej Sapkowski.
The best part of the day was hands down telling one of my customers about my future plans for The Story Cellar and getting a resounding, “Do it!” in return. If you want to hear more about those plans, subscribe to my Substack (link on the home page).
